Architectural Services
Moderna Homes is the residential architecture practice of Kathleen Liston, a licensed architect in Menlo Park. We design modern homes for families across the Peninsula, from first sketches through construction.
New Custom Homes
Full design for a new home, from site analysis and concept through construction documents.
Remodels and Additions
Kitchens, whole-house renovations, second stories and expansions that work with your existing home.
Permitting
Drawings and coordination through city planning and building review in Peninsula jurisdictions.
Construction Administration
Support during construction so the home is built as designed.
Design-Build
For clients who want one team, design and construction can be coordinated together.
How We Work
Every project is modeled in 3D (BIM) before it is built. This lets you see the design, compare options, and catch cost and coordination problems early. Kathleen co-authored the BIM Handbook, a standard reference on this approach.
